When I was At Prudhoe High School Community, I learnt that sometimes, students must improve their knowledge and autonomy for increasing their English skills. Playing badminton, students must know as many rules as they can, for increasing their practice time. Otherwise if they only pass the shuttle to the other field, they are not playing badminton, they are only spending their time. They must pass the shuttle to the free space, to the weak side of the opponent, or they must increase their tactics knowledge. Only when they get involved into the match, with tactics hits, they can think and play. Here we have an example of their active time in PE English lessons at IES Alonso de Orozco.
According to different aspects of methodology in Kogeka schools, an innovative teaching technique, wich is increasing popularity nowadays: 'Flipped classroom or Blended Learning'. It consists on preparing the lesson previously. This way, the students research information about languages in Spain at home and the following day, the teachers provide them with some materials and links from Internet, where they can watch a video, read texts and do some activities. Then, they will explain their partners what they have learnt.
It is such a good technique! The results are so positive, as the students work by themselves, use computers and share their knowledge with their partners, a good way of improving their speaking. Como continuación del anterior, estas son actividades realizadas con mis grupos:
